FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Home Assistant to use TinyRail?
No. TinyRail is controlled with the dedicated app and the front buttons. Home Assistant is an option to go further (automations, monitoring).
What happens if Home Assistant or the network goes down?
You stay in control: the front buttons keep working, and as a last resort you move the fuse to switch to forced operation.
Is it compatible with 12 V and 24 V?
Yes, TinyRail works on 12 V and 24 V systems (9 to 30 V DC range).
What is the maximum current per output?
Up to 10 A per output, protected by a Mini ATO fuse. The current threshold is also configurable per output.
Can I dim the lights?
Yes, every output is dimmable, for the mood and to save battery.
Do I need a cloud or internet connection?
No. TinyRail runs 100% locally, no cloud, so it's reliable even off the grid.
Is installation complicated?
TinyRail connects to your existing wiring, near the electrical panel, and stays fuse-protected. Integration stays simple.
